Hello! So Happy To Meet You!
Lauren Saulnier is a boutique wedding photographer serving the San Diego, CA area. Lauren specializes in making memories last a lifetime.
When Lauren and her husband, Jason, were married, they fell in love with weddings. Not just with the tradition and beauty of the ceremony, but with the honor of ushering couples into the special club of marriage!
If asked, Lauren would tell you that her favorite part of a client’s wedding day is capturing the groom’s face when he sees his soon to be wife in her gown for the first time. Capturing this look in a photo is a treasure the couple will cherish for years to come.
Remembering her own hectic wedding day, Lauren aspires to give the bride and groom something she and Jason didn’t seem to have at their wedding: time to enjoy their special day!
Finding your Swan - A Message from Lauren
Most of us know the story of the ugly duckling. The poor little guy would look at his reflection in the pond and see something ugly, and this made him so sad. Imagine the surprise and delight on the day his reflection was that of a beautiful swan! It was almost unbelievable!
What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you look at your reflection and search out the worst parts in yourself, as we all sometimes do? Or can you look at your reflection and see an inner beauty that comes from happy thoughts and memories that are a result of the life you live?
As a photographer, my work is affected on an incredibly deep level by the person you see in the mirror. The oft repeated adage “a picture is worth a thousand words” is so very true. A photograph can capture emotions we don't even realize are showing. So I encourage my clients to keep a positive image, especially on one of the most important days of their life!
You may have noticed that we have a hidden swan in our logo. We have received quite a few questions about it, and while we do have a FAQ page (see link above), the message of the swan is very close to my heart and I just couldn't bury it there. The swan is in my log to serve as a reminder of the beauty that lies inside each of us.
Please remember how beautiful you are!
